Diatomite Ore

1.1.  Mineral composition:

Diatomite at Hoa Loc (Phu Yen) has the mineral composition as follow:

-         Algae shell of Diatomite hold 10 – 60%; form: tubular, cylinder, horizontal section circle; diameter: 0,01 – 0,05 mm;

-         Opan: small form and hold a small rate;

-         Clay: hold a rate of 5 – 24 %, scab form with hydro mica and mix into a little of Motmorillonit mineral;

-         Bone prickle of sea meal: hold 1 -15% belong to spongy kind, single axis, spiky, long: 0,01 – 0,25 mm;

-         Gnauconit: hold from 10 – 25%, small scab form, green colorless;

-         Quartz trifling: hold < 2%, bead form breaked, sharp, size: 0,01 – 0,1 mm, disperse widely in ore.

-         Filter aids, detergent in the technology of beer, alcohol, drinkables production,…

-         Aquacultures;

-         Additive for cement productions;

-         Materials for insulating materials production;
