1. General Introduce

 

Titanium is one of minerals used in so many industrial. In Vietnam, Titanium distributed along the seacoast. Although the content is not high, the reserve is very big. 

 

At Phu Yen province, according to the result of investigation of Department of Geology and Mineral of Vietnam, Titanium ore has the reserve about 100.000 tons distributed along the Phu Yen seacoast.

 

Titanium composition

 

- Titan ore neat: TiO₂:52%min, Fe₂O₃:15%max, FeO:25% min, Cr₂O₃:0,05%max

- Zircon ore neat: ZrO₂ : 65% 

- Rutil ore neat: TiO₂ : 85%

 

2. Application:

 

Titanium is a metal is very-high hardness, fine anticorrosive, endured in salt-water environment, loftiness melting temperature, weak magnetic. For those features, it used in so many industrial branch difference as: paper dioxide (TiO2) Titanium using production whitenned, surface anti-corrosion paint, taken in who produce penny loftiness, acrylic resin. Melting temperature of high, Titanium become a good material we uses for production of aircraft, seagoing vessel, spacecraft.
